Katz Family Dental participates in Connecticut Mission of Mercy dental clinic

Again this year, Katz Family Dental was well-represented at Connecticut’s free two-day dental clinic, Mission of Mercy. The program – referred to as CTMOM – provides free dental care to those in need and uninsured throughout the state. This year’s event was held in Bridgeport, and more than 1,700 individual patients were provided more than $1.3 million in donated dental care.

The organization notes…

Oral health is inseparable from general health and can affect a person’s self-esteem, compromise their ability to work, attend school and lead a normal life.

The first Mission of Mercy project was held in Tolland in 2008, and each year the number of dental professionals donating their time has increased along with the number of patients. There are more than 1,600 dental professionals who donate their time not just for the two-day event, but also for follow-up visits and event organization as well.
